Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Adamhousing takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit our website, contact us or use our services. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is Adamhousing, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 72222034, VAT number NL002430730B10, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
For any privacy question, email info@adam-housing.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email, phone number or messaging account, the service you are interested in and your message, when you use the contact form or reach us by email, phone, WeChat or WhatsApp.
- Information needed to deliver our services: once you are a client, we may need contact and company details, your budget and requirements, and identity information where the law requires verification, in order to arrange viewings, negotiations, transactions, leases or staff relocation.
- Technical information: when you visit the website, the server automatically logs your IP address, browser type and time of visit for security and proper operation.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive data (such as health or religious information), and our services are not aimed at anyone under 16.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare proposals or quotes: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To perform our service agreement: performance of a contract (b).
- To meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping, tax retention rules and identity checks required by law: legal obligation (c).
- To keep the website secure and improve our services: our legitimate interests (f).
We do not sell your personal data and will not send you marketing email without your consent. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 12 months after our last contact.
- Client files and transaction records: 7 years after the service ends, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Longer where another law requires it.
5. Who we share it with
Only to the extent needed to deliver our services:
- Service providers (processors): our website host (HostGator) and email provider (Microsoft 365), who may only process data on our instructions.
- Parties to a transaction: once you have engaged us, notaries, lawyers, banks, mortgage advisers, tax advisers, landlords or sellers receive the information they need.
- Authorities: only where the law requires it.
If you choose to contact us via WeChat or WhatsApp, that information is also subject to the privacy policies of Tencent or Meta.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Such transfers are protected by safeguards recognised by the EU, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
This website only uses functional storage that it needs to work, such as remembering your language choice. We currently use no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. If we add them in future, we will ask for your consent first.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, multi-factor authentication and SPF, DKIM and DMARC email authentication.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to receive a portable copy of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@adam-housing.com and we will reply within one month. We may need to verify your identity first to protect your information.
10. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the latest version is always published on this website. This policy is available in Chinese, English and Dutch. In case of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.
